President’s Report:

1.      Bob Castle need last (3) years of accounting info to file CA state taxes.

2.      CWOA GG maybe required to pay taxes on Casino Night earnings. This may alter the way future Casino Night events will be structured.

3.      Donation Requests

1.     SN T. Nguyen Sta Monterey – father passed away and mbr flew out to Vietnam twice – CPOA has donated $500 and CGEA $200 to help offset travel costs. CWO Blecman made motion to donate $500 CWO Ryan seconded the motion – motion passed

2.     North Bay Spouses Club asking for $200 donation for their scholarship fund. Legality brought into question. Committee created: CWO LeCato chairperson.CWO DePaolo and CWO Blecman to make inquiry into a suitable solution. Request tabled.

4. CMC Lunch with MCPO Bushy and Jones - NSTR  

Unfinished Business:

1.      CG Day - $2,988 gross of which $1,799 is profit to be split with CPOA

a.        Items for next year – May need more seats and possibly another 10X20 canopy. An easel sign pointing to the beer garden and/or dunk tank.

2.      Casino Night hotwash – to be scheduled.

New Business:

  1. Golden Gate Fields – To be scheduled for December as CWOA GG holiday party – Chairperson Mr. Tony DePaolo
  2. Discussion over purchasing a bigger table for CWOA meetings at Banner’s Club or maybe move the table to the other side of the club. No motions made.
  3. Coin Order – CWO LaMountain will head up.
  4. SOQ program – After Dec 31st U.S. savings bonds will only be available for purchase electronically from TreasuryDirect.  Instead of providing the SOQ with an alternative award CWO Ryan made motion for $50 Visa card vice $50 savings bond CWO Gilbreath seconded the motion – motion passed.

Good of the Order

Budget – Common annual events will be made into an operating cost spreadsheet in order to better forecast spending ebb & flows and to eliminate many repetitious votes.
