Business:

1.   CWO Boyle is chairing the Nominating Committee for 2008 Officers.  Please get send him your nominations.  Elections are to take place in October.

2.   Next meeting will be at the Chief’s Hut on the 17th of October.  Please invite any CWOs that are in the area to attend.  The menu is to TBD, but Chinese and Pizza were mentioned.  If you have any ideas send them to CWO Kirby.

3.   Disaster Preparedness Fair on 11 October from 1000-1400 at Gresham/Point Welcome. CWO Whitehead will be organizing a Jamba Juice Stand as a fundraiser.  Please let him know if you are available to help.

4.   We will be having a pizza fundraiser on the 25th of October.  Need a Chair.

5.   Please save copier sized boxes for the Spouse’s Association.  They will start collecting boxes to assist the CPOA’s Sailors helping Sailors food baskets for the upcoming holiday season.

New Business:

1.         If you are aware of any new CWOs in the area, please send their names to CWO Kirby to be added to the bang list.  Also, encourage them to join and participate in the local chapter of the CWOA. Due to dwindling numbers, there was some discussion about the possibility of disbanding.

Good of the Order:

Annual dues in the amount of $12.00 are being collected for 2008.  Please send your check to the treasurer CWO Tony Pariga or you can become a lifetime member for only $50.00 and receive a chapter polo shirt and coffee mug.
