Unfinished Business:
  1. CWO2 Maria Kirby was unanimously appointed as the new Vice-President for the CWOA Golden Gate Chapter
  2. CWOA Oath of Office Ceremony – 01 JUN 2007:  To be held in the Quad area of PACAREA Command (weather permitting).  CWO Tarr to be Chairperson and CWO Hernandez to assist.
  3. Coast Day with the A’s:  Awaiting additional information from A’s representative – Chris Corda and Oakland Navy League representative – Mr. Bob Castle, concerning the date, tickets and seating location.
  4. CWOA President to send Memo to CAPT Russell requesting ISC Alameda MWR continues to support the funding of Coast Guard Day with the A’s.
  5. Fund Raising Activates:  CWO Whitehead to communicate with the manager of Pump It Up to hold a Car Wash located in the parking lot on a selected Wednesday vice a weekend, due to a heavier traffic flow

Motions Made

The following motions were made at this meeting:

    • To award a $50 “E” Series Savings Bonds to the Alameda/Oakland area Enlisted Petty Officer of the Year nominees beginning in 2008.  Motion Passed.
    • To hold a vote for maintaining the lead of ticket sales for Coast Guard Day with the A’s, until final arrangements are discuss between CWOA and representatives (see below).  Motion Passed
    • To create two separate Email Listing (Active/Inactive), and assigned the Vice-President to maintain control.  Motion Passed

 

New Business:

1.      The President of the chapter will select a representative to attend the National CWOA Annual Meeting in Bowie, MD.  .CWO Tony Pariga has volunteered and will represent the chapter.

2.      The President will generate a Welcome Letter for all newly appointed CWO’s on cutters and shore units  to the attend our monthly meetings, to participate in scheduled events, and be included on all informative discussions

Good of the Order:

1. New officers assume the responsibilities on the first day of the calendar year.

2. Review current CWOA Member list to determine which names remains posted and to remove inactive members who has not paid membership dues in over two years.

3. Working with CWO Amber Winkowski to get the webpage updated

3.  The next meeting for the chapter will be held on 28 MAR 2007 at the YBI galley at 1100.
